Frequently asked questions

Why are my emails going to spam?
The most common reasons are a missing or broken SPF record, no DKIM signature, and no DMARC policy — all of which this checker tests. Beyond DNS, spammy content, sudden bursts of sending and a sending server with a poor reputation also play a part. More in our guide.
What is the SPF 10-lookup limit?
Each include, a, mx, exists and redirect in an SPF record — including inside the records it includes — costs one DNS lookup, and receivers stop at 10. Over the limit, SPF fails for every email you send. It creeps up when you add services like Microsoft 365, a newsletter tool and a CRM; remove the ones you no longer use.
Where do I find my DKIM selector?
Open an email you sent, view the original message or headers, and find the DKIM-Signature header. The selector is the value after s=. On EDZNET hosting with cPanel it’s usually default; Microsoft 365 uses selector1 and selector2; Google Workspace uses google unless changed.
Should my DMARC policy be none, quarantine or reject?
Start with p=none and a rua address so you get reports without affecting delivery. Once the reports show all your genuine mail passing, move to quarantine, then reject for full protection against spoofing.
How do I fix these on EDZNET hosting?
In cPanel, open Email Deliverability — it checks SPF and DKIM and can install the correct records with one click when your DNS is with us. Or open a ticket and we’ll set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC for you.
I changed a record but the checker still shows the old one.
