What’s My IP Address?

This is the public IP address your device uses on the internet — the one websites, email servers and firewalls see. Copy it in one click if support has asked for it.

Location is estimated from public IP databases and is usually accurate to the city or region your provider routes through — not your street. We don’t log or store what this page shows.

Can’t reach your website, email or cPanel?

Our servers are protected by BitNinja. Too many failed logins (often an old password saved on a phone) can block your IP, or show a captcha that won’t clear. Send us the IP above and we’ll check and remove the block. How IP blocks work and how to avoid them.

If this site won’t load at all, use our backup checker on a separate network: whatsmyip.edznet.io.

Public vs private IP

Your router gives devices private addresses like 192.168.x.x. Everything leaves your home or office through one shared public IP — the one shown here.

It can change

Most home and mobile connections get a dynamic IP that changes when the router restarts or you switch networks. Check again before whitelisting.

Private by default

We look your IP up on our own servers using offline databases. Nothing is sent to third parties and nothing is logged.

Frequently asked questions

What is an IP address?
An Internet Protocol address is the number that identifies your connection on the internet, so replies to your requests can find their way back. IPv4 addresses look like 81.2.69.142; the newer IPv6 format looks like 2a02:8010:abcd::1.
Why has support asked for my IP address?
Usually to check our firewall: if your IP was blocked after repeated failed logins, we can look it up and remove the block, or whitelist a fixed office IP. Use Copy details for support above and paste it into your ticket. More on firewall blocks.
Why is the location wrong?
IP location comes from databases that map address ranges to where the provider registers or routes them. Mobile networks, VPNs and some fibre providers route through another city or even country, so the result can be a long way from where you are. It’s an estimate, never an exact address.
Why don’t I see an IPv6 address?
This page shows the address your device used to reach our servers. Our web servers answer over IPv4, so that’s the address firewalls on our hosting see — and the one support needs.
Can I hide or change my IP?
Restarting your router often gives you a new one on a home connection, and switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data uses a different one. A VPN replaces it with the VPN provider’s address — but note that some VPN addresses are shared with abusive traffic and can trip security checks more often.
Is it safe to share my IP address?
Sharing it with your hosting provider is fine and often necessary. On its own it reveals your provider and rough area, not who you are or where you live.
