How to Manage or Cancel a PayPal Subscription Print

  • 0

If you pay EDZNET by PayPal and set up a subscription, PayPal takes recurring payments automatically. This article shows you how to find that subscription in PayPal, cancel it, and change the card it uses. PayPal changes its menus from time to time, so the labels below may differ slightly.

View or cancel the subscription

  1. Log in to your PayPal account at paypal.com.
  2. Click the Settings (gear) icon.
  3. Open the Payments tab and click Manage automatic payments.
  4. Your active automatic payments are listed. Click the EDZNET entry to see its details, including the amount and the next payment date.
  5. To stop it, click Cancel and confirm.

PayPal will no longer take payments for that subscription. We'll still issue invoices for your services, and you'll need to pay them from the client area. See how to pay an invoice.

Cancelling PayPal does not cancel your service

Stopping the subscription only stops the automatic payment. Your hosting or domain stays active and keeps being invoiced. If you want to close the service itself:

  1. Log in to the client area.
  2. Open the service from Services › My Services.
  3. Choose Request Cancellation, pick Immediate or End of Billing Period, and submit.

Download a copy of anything you want to keep before the service ends. See backups.

Change the card PayPal uses

  1. In PayPal, go to Wallet.
  2. To add a card, click Link a card, enter the card details and complete any verification your bank asks for.
  3. To remove an old card, click it and choose Remove card.
  4. To choose which card pays first, click the card and select Set as preferred. You can also change the payment source for a single subscription from its page under Manage automatic payments.

If a PayPal payment fails, the invoice stays unpaid. Pay it another way before the due date so your service isn't suspended.
