How to Update Your Contact and Billing Details Print

  • 0

We use the contact details in your EDZNET client area to send invoices, payment reminders, suspension notices and domain renewal emails. This article shows you how to keep them up to date, and how to send billing emails to someone else, such as your accounts department.

Update your name, address or email address

  1. Log in to the client area.
  2. Open the account menu (top right) and choose Your Profile. It may be labelled Account Details.
  3. Update your name, company name, address, phone number or email address.
  4. Click Save Changes.

If your login uses the same email address, you'll use the new one next time you log in. Where you can, use an email address hosted somewhere other than your EDZNET hosting. If the hosting is ever suspended, a mailbox on it won't receive our notices.

Send invoices to another person

You can add extra contacts who receive particular emails without sharing your login.

  1. From the account menu, open Contacts.
  2. Add a new contact with their name and email address, for example accounts@example.co.uk.
  3. Tick the email types they should receive, such as Invoice Emails, and save.

If they need to log in and pay invoices themselves, invite them as a user from User Management in the account menu instead, where that option is shown.

Good to know

  • Changing your client area details doesn't change the contact email in cPanel, which receives disk quota and other server notices. Update that separately: see updating your cPanel contact email.
  • Changing your profile doesn't always update the registrant details on your existing domains. Check them on each domain's Contact Information page under Domains › My Domains.
  • If you no longer have access to the email address on your account, open a ticket and we'll verify your identity before changing it.
