A package is a set of limits (disk space, bandwidth, email accounts, databases and so on) that you apply to cPanel accounts. Setting up a package for each plan you sell saves entering limits by hand and keeps your customers' accounts consistent. Your packages can't go beyond the resources of your own reseller plan.
Create a package
- Log in to WHM and go to Packages › Add a Package.
- Enter a Package Name. A descriptive name such as
startermakes it easy to pick later. WHM adds your reseller username as a prefix. - Under Resources, set the limits, for example:
- Disk Quota (MB) and Monthly Bandwidth (MB)
- Max FTP Accounts, Max Email Accounts and Max Quota per Email Address (MB)
- Max SQL Databases
- Max Sub-Domains, Max Addon Domains and Max Parked Domains (aliases)
- Under Settings, choose the Feature List that controls which cPanel tools the account sees (see feature lists) and leave the theme as Jupiter. Options such as a dedicated IP or shell access depend on what your plan allows.
- Click Add.
The package now appears in the Package list when you create a cPanel account.
Edit a package
- Go to Packages › Edit a Package.
- Select the package and click Edit.
- Change the limits or settings and click Save Changes.
The new limits apply to every account already on that package. If you're lowering a limit, check no account is already over it, for example using more disk space than the new quota.
Delete a package
- Go to Packages › Delete a Package.
- Select the package and click Delete, then confirm.
Move any accounts on that package to another one first, using Account Functions › Upgrade/Downgrade an Account. See changing an account's limits, package or password.
