Webmail lets you read and send email from any web browser, with nothing to set up. It's useful when you're away from your usual computer, or for checking whether a problem lies with your mail app or the mailbox itself.
Log in to webmail
- Go to
https://example.co.uk/webmail, using your own domain. You can also usehttps://example.co.uk:2096. - Enter your full email address (for example
you@example.co.uk) and the mailbox password. - Click Log in.
Webmail opens in Roundcube, where you can read, write and organise mail, manage contacts and set up filters. If you're shown a choice of apps first, choose Roundcube; you can set it as your default so it opens straight away next time.
Open webmail from cPanel
If you manage the hosting account, you don't need each mailbox's password:
- Log in to cPanel and go to Email › Email Accounts.
- Click Check Email next to the address.
Good to know
- Webmail and mail apps set up with IMAP show the same mailbox, so anything you read, file or delete in one shows up in the other.
- If a mail app uses POP3, messages it has downloaded and removed from the server won't appear in webmail.
- Always log out when you've finished on a shared or public computer.
- If webmail won't load from one network but works on mobile data, your IP may be blocked. See how to get your IP unblocked.
