You can create email addresses on your own domain, such as you@example.co.uk, in cPanel. This article covers creating the mailbox and then getting it onto your devices.
- Log in to cPanel and go to Email › Email Accounts.
- Click + Create.
- If you have more than one domain, choose the Domain.
- Enter the Username: the part before the @, such as
youorsales. - Under Security, choose Set password now and enter a strong password, or click Generate. Alternatively, choose to send a login link to another address so the person using the mailbox can set their own password.
- Under Optional Settings, click Edit Settings to set the Storage Space (quota). A limit stops one mailbox filling up your whole hosting account, so choose a size that suits how the mailbox will be used.
- Click Create.
The new account appears in the list straight away and can send and receive mail, as long as your domain uses our nameservers (or its MX record points to us).
Set it up on your devices
- In Email › Email Accounts, click Connect Devices next to the account.
- The page shows the exact incoming and outgoing server settings for that mailbox, and offers automatic set-up files for some apps.
For all the settings in one place, see email settings for mail apps. For step-by-step guides, see setting up email on iPhone and iPad, Android or Outlook. You can also start reading mail in a browser straight away with webmail.
